Trains to Jammu Tawi (Onward by Road)
If the Katra-direct train is full, take a Jammu Tawi train and use a 50-km road transfer (taxi ₹1,800 / shared cab ₹400 / JKSRTC bus ₹120). Major trains: Himgiri Exp, Swaraj Exp, Jhelum Exp.

- Book exactly 60 days in advance — Vande Bharat fills within minutes.
- Use the IRCTC Tatkal window (10 AM AC, 11 AM Non-AC) if you missed the regular window.
- For senior citizens, IRCTC offers lower berth preference automatically.
