Why Use Only Official Channels?

Vaishno Devi receives 90+ lakh pilgrims a year and naturally attracts fake booking sites and touts. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) is the only authorised authority for all bookings. This page is a clean directory of those official services — bookmark it and share with first-time pilgrims.

1. Yatra Registration Slip (Free, Mandatory)

• Online: maavaishnodevi.org/yatra-registration
• Validity: date-specific; carries an RFID
• Required ID: Aadhaar / Passport / Voter / DL
• Cost: Free

2. Helicopter Booking

• Online: maavaishnodevi.org/helicopter-booking
• Sector: Katra ↔ Sanjichhat
• Booking window: 60 days in advance
• Fare: ~₹1,830 per sector (subject to revision)

3. SMVDSB Accommodation

• Online: maavaishnodevi.org/accommodation
• Properties: Niharika, Vaishnavi Bhawan, Trikuta Bhawan, Saraswati Dham at Katra; plus Bhawan / Adhkuwari / Sanjichhat dormitories
• Tariff: ₹200 to ₹3,500

4. Online Puja, Prasad & Akhand Jyot

• Online: maavaishnodevi.org/online-puja
• Pujas: Akhand Jyot, Chandi Path, Atka Bhent, Nav-Chandi, Shat-Chandi
• Prasad delivery: Yes, anywhere in India via India Post (₹100 – ₹500 packets)
• Receipt & certificate: Auto-mailed PDF + dispatch tracking

5. e-Donation & 80G Receipt

• Online: maavaishnodevi.org/donate
• Modes: UPI, debit/credit card, NEFT, demand draft
• 80-G exemption: Auto-generated certificate by email
• End use: Yatra infrastructure, free medical posts, langar, social welfare

6. Mobile App

The Shrine Board has launched an “Aapki Maa” mobile app (Android & iOS) for yatra slip booking, live darshan, ropeway tickets and helipad reporting. Search “Aapki Maa” or “Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board” on Play Store / App Store.

7. Live Darshan & Aarti Online

• Live Aarti: Twice daily on the official SMVDSB YouTube channel
• Darshan webstream: maavaishnodevi.org/live
• Devotees abroad can also watch via the official Facebook page

8. Lost & Found / Pilgrim Grievance

9. Bus & Battery Vehicle Tickets

• Battery vehicle on Tarakote Marg: tickets at the counter near Niharika; one-way ~₹309
• SMVDSB shuttle bus Katra → Banganga: free
• Ropeway (Bhawan → Bhairon Ghati): tickets at the booth near Bhawan square

10. RTI & Tender Notices

Public information requests under RTI can be filed at rti@maavaishnodevi.org. Tender notices for vendor empanelment are published at the Shrine Board’s notice board and on the official website.
