The Akhand Jyot (continuous flame) at Vaishno Devi is one of the most popular sevas. Devotees who cannot travel often sponsor a jyot in their family’s name. Here is how the online process works in 2026.
What Is an Akhand Jyot?
A ghee lamp lit in your name at the Bhawan complex and kept burning without interruption for the duration you sponsor. The flame is tended by the temple priests; you receive a digital certificate and a small prasad packet by post.
Variants & Cost (Indicative)
| Duration | Contribution | What You Receive |
|---|---|---|
| 30 days | ~₹500 | Certificate + small prasad |
| 9 months (Navratri to Navratri) | ~₹1,100 | Certificate + chunri + prasad |
| Yearly | ~₹2,500 | Annual certificate + prasad packets twice |
Rates are indicative. Current rate is published on the SMVDSB portal at the time of booking.
